The beautiful and powerful Ekal Shri Ram Katha – led by Pujya Swami Shri Govinda Dev Giri ji Maharaj and organized under the joint aegis of Parmarth Niketan and Ekal Bharat Lok Shiksha Parishad – concluded yesterday as Param Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji; Finance Minister, Government of Uttarakhand, Shri Prem Chand Aggarwal; the Hon’ble State Minister of Vocational Education and Skills Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Kapil Dev Aggarwalji; Mahamandaleshwar Swami Shri Ishwar Das Ji Maharaj and other distinguished guests gathered on the Ganga Ghat to light a lamp of education.

Pujya Swamiji shared that “education is the most important tool that we have to give a better direction to our society and future generations and to move towards a bright future. In the midst of increasing population and limited resources, the way education is awakening in the whole country is exemplary. To face the challenges of the future, we will need that knowledge and skills that can contribute to our problem-solving – and that is not possible without education.

“We must be united to face the challenges in the Indian education system. We must make our education system more technologically efficient, and for this we all have to join together. Ekal Vidyalaya is playing an important role for the intellectual, moral, psychological and physical development of the children as well as for their social, character, and emotional development.

Shri Premchand Agrawal ji lauded Ekal Vidyalaya Abhiyan’s efforts “for the overall development of rural and tribal India, planting culture along with education in urban and rural areas. It is a matter of pride that more than 2.8 million rural and tribal children have benefitted under this campaign. I am sure that single education will play an important role in the empowerment of rural communities.”

Vocational Education and Skill Department’s Shri Aggarwal added “that skill development will have to be promoted to reduce the problems of unemployment and migration. The Skill India program of the Government of India has led to an increase in employment. In the present time, we have to connect children with education with skill.”

ऋषिकेश, 10 सितम्बर। परमार्थ निकेतन के एकल भारत लोक शिक्षा परिषद् और परमार्थ निकेेतन के संयुक्त तत्वाधान में आयोजित एकल श्रीराम कथा का आज समापन हुआ। इस अवसर पर परमार्थ निकेतन के अध्यक्ष स्वामी चिदानन्द सरस्वती जी, वित्त मंत्री, उत्तराखंड सरकार, श्री प्रेमचंद अग्रवाल जी, व्यवसायिक शिक्षा एवं कौशल विभाग उत्तरप्रदेश सरकार, महामंडलेश्वर स्वामी श्री ईश्वर दास जी महाराज और अन्य विशिष्ट अतिथियों ने सहभाग कर हर घर शिक्षा का दीप प्रज्वलित करने का संकल्प करवाया।

स्वामी चिदानन्द सरस्वती जी ने कहा कि हमारे समाज और भावी पीढ़ियों को एक श्रेष्ठ दिशा देने और उज्वल भविष्य की ओर अग्रसरित होने के लिये शिक्षा सबसे महत्वपूर्ण हथियार है। बढ़ती जनसंख्या और सीमित संसाधनों के बीच एकल जिस प्रकार पूरे देश में शिक्षा का अलख जगा रहा है वह अनुकरणीय है। भविष्य की चुनौतियों का सामना करने के लिए हमें ऐसे ज्ञान और दक्षता की आवश्यकता होगी जो हमारी समस्या समाधान में योगदान कर सके और वह शिक्षा के बिना संभव नहीं है।

स्वामी जी ने कहा कि भारतीय शिक्षा व्यवस्था के समक्ष उत्पन्न चुनौतियों का सामना करने के लिये हमें एकजुट होना होगा। हमें अपनी शिक्षा व्यवस्था को और तकनीकी कुशल बनाने की जरूरत है तथा इसके लिये हम सभी को एक साथ जुड़ना होगा। स्वामी जी ने कहा कि एकल विद्यालय बच्चों के बौद्धिक, नैतिक, मनोवैज्ञानिक तथा शारीरिक विकास के साथ ही सामाजिक, चारित्रिक, एवं सांवेगिक विकास हेतु महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभा रहा है।

श्री प्रेमचन्द अग्रवाल जी ने कहा कि एकल विद्यालय अभियान को एकल विद्यालय संगठन द्वारा ग्रामीण और जनजातीय भारत के समग्र विकास के लिए शुरू किया गया है और यह अब शहरी और ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में शिक्षा के साथ संस्कारों के रोपण का कार्य भी कर रहा है। इस अभियान के अंतर्गत 2.8 मिलियन से अधिक ग्रामीण और जनजातीय बच्चे लाभान्वित हुए हैं यह अपने आप में गर्व का विषय है। मुझे पूर्ण विश्वास है कि एकल शिक्षा ग्रामीण समुदायों का सशक्तिकरण में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभायेगी।

व्यवसायिक शिक्षा एवं कौशल विभाग उत्तरप्रदेश सरकार ने कहा कि बेरोजगारी और पलायन की समस्याओं को कम करने के लिये कौशल विकास को बढ़ावा देना होगा। भारत सरकार के स्किल इंडिया कार्यक्रम ने रोजगारों में वृद्धि हुयी है। वर्तमान समय में हमें बच्चों को शिक्षा के साथ कौशल से भी जोड़ना होगा।
