Sadhviji Joins the Coronaspection Discussion

It is such a beautiful joy to be a part of Elijah Interfaith’s wonderful new project, Coronaspection, an amazing opportunity for the world’s foremost religious leaders to reflect on the spiritual challenges and opportunities of Coronavirus. Challenges ranging from the practical – what will someone eat today – to opportunities, such as what we will become as we rebuild a new world that better reflects and honors our interconnectivity.

I  shared with Elijah Interfaith director Rabbi Alon Goshen-Gottstein during the time that we spent together virtually that what’s so unique and special about what we can do at Parmarth Niketan is the emphasis on what is needed in the moment. If what they need is a meal, that’s what they get. If they need medical care, they get medical care. And, if what they need is a way to connect to themselves inside that brings meaning and purpose, joy, peace and bliss to their lives – then that’s what we give them. And so that service of all, Parmarth, is really a vast and multi-faceted service based on whatever the person in front of us is in need of. This has stayed our purpose in this age of Covid-19, and will be the foundation of how we work with our partners and government and community to devise and implement the way we move forward into a new and beautiful age post-Corona.
