HH Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji is joined by core GIWA Faith Leaders, Imam Umer Ahmed Ilyasiji ji, President, All India Imam Organisation, Ven Bhikkhu Sanghasenaji of Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre, Mufti Nasihur Rahmanji of Assam, and Pujya Shri Anurag Krishna Shastriji (Kanhaiyaji) in Kolkata on the first day of their two day tour as they visit the existing Mahavir Seva Sadan Workshop and Centre in the city and see all the beautiful services being offered to children with special needs.

From creation of prosthetic limbs, to therapy for children with Cerebral Palsy and other special needs there are so many amazing services being provided with such love and compassion by dedicated volunteers. There are also vocational training for divinely abled sisters and brothers being undertaken by the institution. Plans to continue to strengthen the partnership with Parmarth Niketan and the Global Interfaith WASH Alliance in the new year were also discussed during this visit, including welcoming trainers of their Centre to the banks of Mother Ganga to get trained in short term Yoga and Ayurveda therapy in addition to hosting camps in Ladakh, Assam and other cities of India ahead of Pujya Swamiji’s 70th Birthday Celebration was also discussed.
