On this auspicious day of Magha Purnima – a day symbolized by the taking of a holy bath (snan) and offering alms to rid us of our sins – we remember that Lord Vishnu himself is present in the river Ganga on this day!

Today’s celebrations are even more significant because this year’s Maha Kumbh Mela is being observed in Haridwar where devotees and pilgrims from all across India have gathered for the traditional bath!

Even though this month of charity has concluded, let us remember to always keep the giving spirit in our hearts in loving service to God and to humanity!
