The 53rd Annual Convention of the FHRAI

The 53rd Annual Convention of the Federation of Hotel Restaurant Association of India (FHRAI) was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Mahant Yogi Adityanathji, blessed by Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji​, joined by Hon’ble Minister of Finance, Government of Uttar Pradesh, Rajesh Agarwalji, Hon’ble Tourism Minister, GoUP, Smt Prof. Rita Bahuguna Joshi ji, presided by President of FHRAI Shri Girish Oberoi and Secretary General of FHRAI Shri Surendra Jaiswalji.

Honble Chief Minister, Shri M Yogi Adityanath​ji said that the Ram, Krishna and Buddha circuits all pass through or are largely located in Uttar Pradesh and that there are plans now to also create a beautiful Sufi Circuit. He shared and invited everyone to the world’s largest spiritual cultural event – the Kumbh Mela in Prayag Raj. He further shared that not only were there countless spiritual, cultural pilgrimage sites in Uttar Pradesh but that there was also numerous possibilities for adventure, wildlife, eco-tourism, medical and health tourism and so much more. He shared that during the Investors Summit we looked at many goals and one impt section of investment that the government is committed to is in the Hotel and Restaurant section.

Pujya Swamiji gave the inspiring and incredible mantra “One Hotel, One Project” asking all hoteliers and restaurant owners present there to take up one project that would have a social impact, because just as a CSR He emphasized there is a HSR or a “Human Social Responsibility” that each of us must uphold. He gave an inspiring speech that touched the hearts of many and interspersed it drops of nectar and wisdom that encouraged them not only to provide services that give Internet speed but also Inner Net direction. He said, “When I shifts to ‘We’ – Illness becomes Wellness. We might have Wellness Centres in our hotels but we must recognise that in India and in a sacred land like Uttar Pradesh we have the ability to connect everyone to the centre of wellness within.” He extended the support of Parmarth Niketan through the International Yoga Festival and many other events and activities to bring more spiritual and wellness tourism to Uttar Pradesh, especially for the Kumbh Mela.


Hon’ble Rita Bahuguna Joshiji invited everyone, “Please come to UP and come to UP in a big way. There is a single entry under the Hon’ble CM for investors to invest in UP and the tourism sector is an area of great focus within our administration.”

Hon’ble Finance Minister of UP also emphasized the Government’s vision for tourism and commitment to invest in spiritual wellness tourism as well as develop some of the other avenues of tourism and interaction with the state.

Principal Secretary Tourism, Shri Awanish Kumar Awasthi, I.A.S. Additional Chief Secretary & Director General. Department of Tourism, Govt. of UP welcomed everyone to Lucknow and shed light on numerous initiatives that the government is undertaking to increase tourism.

Pujya Swamiji honoured the Hon’ble Chief Minister with a sacred Rudraksha Sapling and lauded his vision and leadership in making Uttar Pradesh truly Uttam Pradesh.
