Shri Krishna Janmashtami Celebrations at Parmarth Niketan

At Parmarth Niketan, the festival of Janmashtami was celebrated with great devotion and joy.

Shri Krishna’s life is the supreme example of infinite love, the protection of humanity, and the establishment of Dharma.  The Bhagavad Gita remains a guiding light for every era — teaching us to perform our duty fearlessly, stay steadfast in Dharma, and remain free from attachment to the fruits of action.

Today, to liberate society from the “Kans” of ignorance, greed, violence, and immorality, we must awaken the Krishna within us — the spirit of love, compassion, courage, and righteousness.

At Parmarth, the divine festivities included sacred jhankis, soulful bhajans, kirtan, and the symbolic cradle ceremony welcoming the birth of Lord Krishna with immense devotion.  The celebrations were filled with devotion, bhakti, and divine joy. Our Rishikumars and devotees came together in soulful prayers, melodious kirtan, and vibrant raas, rejoicing in the birth of Shri Krishna on the holy banks of Mother Ganga.

May this Janmashtami awaken within us the light of Krishna, dispelling ignorance and guiding us towards love, compassion, and Dharma.  Jai Shri Krishna!
