Rahul Dravid at the Ganga Aarti

Former cricketer and captain, known as one of the best batsmen in history of cricket, Rahul Dravid came home to the Ganga Aarti yesterday with his family. They met with Pujya Swamiji and were blessed by Him with a sacred Rudraksha sapling and special shawl. They learned about the great service projects thriving under Pujya Swamiji able leadership to improve water, sanitation & hygiene (WASH) as well as to protect our rivers and our environment.

He was especially honoured in the Ganga Aarti for his efforts to raise youth awareness and end addiction to tobacco and other forms of substance abuse by Nandini Tripathi, Director of Implementation, Global Interfaith WASH Alliance. He was inspired to be a voice for the environment, to encourage youth to protect our sacred water bodies and to take climate action. Watch his video message here.
