Pujya Swamiji’s 69th Birthday Celebrations

This year amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, H.H. Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji’s 69th Birthday was celebrated with prayers and morning yagya for World Health & Healing and a special pledge to protect Mother Earth and Mother Nature, which are core tenets of Pujya Swamiji’s life and teachings.

Pujya Swamiji took part in a special Gow Puja (worshiping of the Mother Cow) at Parmarth’s Gaushala, sacred Ganga Snan and undertook a special tree plantation as a symbol of His commitment to service of all creations and to protect the environment.

Continuing in the spirit of service to all, He personally served fresh and hot meal to all Rishikumars, Sadhus, Saints, Pilgrims and Devotees inside the Ashram premises and on the Parmarth Ganga Ghat.

In the evening the celebrations were filled with beautiful devotional music, chanting and bhakti by devotees staying with in the ashram within the lockdown.

The evening concluded with a very special high level webinar with eminent personalities and leaders. The webinar started with a moment of silence and prayer. It included a sacred pledge for the environment and renewed commitment to protect, preserve and serve Mother Earth and Mother Nature.

This celebration marked the beginning of a year-long celebration of Pujya Swamiji’s life of service, leading up to His 70th birthday next year. Throughout this year and beyond, any act of selfless service, dedicated to the welfare of all, is a celebration and testament of His birth in our hearts and our lives.
