Hon’ble Cabinet Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Jay Kumar Rawal Ji, along with his wife Smt. Subhadra Kumari Rawal Ji and daughter Ms. Vedanteshwari Rawal Ji, visited Parmarth Niketan, Rishikesh. They met with Parmarth President HH Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswati Ji and received his blessings.
On this occasion, a meaningful discussion took place on initiating Aarti ceremonies at the sacred Banganga and seashores of Mumbai. Swamiji shared, “Where there is devotion, there is protection. Aarti is not just a ritual with lamps — it is a pledge for water conservation and environmental awareness.” He described it as a Sagar Seva Sankalp — a sacred commitment to the seas.
Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji emphasized that sites like Banganga are not only religious spaces but also treasured cultural heritage. Preserving them connects future generations with the deeper significance of water and tradition.
Shri Rawal Ji affirmed the Maharashtra Government’s commitment to balancing ecology and economy, prioritizing the restoration and awareness of such sacred water sites.
Swamiji presented the Rawal family with a Rudraksha sapling — a green blessing for a green future!
