HH Param Pujya Swamiji and Pujya Sadhviji Welcome HH the Ambassador of Israel and His Family to Their Himalayan Home

Israel’s Ambassador to India, HE Naor Gillon, and his beautiful family were very special guest visitors to Parmarth Niketan on World Earth Day, and HH Param Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji and Pujya Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswatiji took great pleasure in welcoming them to their Himalayan Home. Israel and India have been drawing closer and closer to each other over the past several years – due somewhat to the cooperative efforts between the two countries in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic – and that has resulted in a growing cooperation between the Embassy of Israel and Parmarth Niketan, as well.

During the meeting, Pujya Swamiji, Ambassador Gillon and Pujya Sadhviji discussed the challenges of a growing dependence on fossil fuels at a time of increasing  climate change, as well as the increasing need for alternative sources of energy, such as water, wind and sun, and the necessity of ending the proliferation of single-use plastics.

Pujya Swamiji and Pujya Sadhivji thanked the Embassy of Israel for the work being done for environmental and water conservation and affirmed their commitment to explore and implement new programmes and initiatives to face the climate challenges that lie ahead. To demonstrate that commitment, they all took part in the traditional water-blessing ceremony, the Jalabhishek of the World Globe, and the Gillon family was presented with a sacred Rudraksh sapling for plantation at the Embassy in Delhi.

After the meeting and ceremonies, Pujya Sadvhiji presented a copy of her best-selling memoir, “Hollywood to the Himalayas” to the family to share her journey of healing and transformation with them.
