Rishikesh, 15th August — Today, the whole of India celebrates the 79th anniversary of our great nation’s Independence — a day symbolizing the unmatched courage, sacrifice, and determination of countless heroes who gifted us a free India.
Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji extended greetings to the nation and said, “Freedom is not just liberation from foreign rule — it is also liberation from the narrowness and ignorance within. The story of our Independence is written in the sweat of our farmers, the dreams of our scientists, the knowledge of our teachers, the valour of our soldiers, and the honest efforts of every citizen who contributed to nation-building.”
He urged all to strengthen India — economically, spiritually, culturally, morally, and environmentally. To blend our ancient values of Yoga, Ayurveda, Vedanta, and Ahimsa with modern science and technology, ensuring the fruits of development reach every citizen.
Today, as India rises on the global stage as a beacon of hope with the vision of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam — One Earth, One Family, let us unite under the Tricolor and take this pledge:
Protect our nation, earth, water, air, and resources.
Foster brotherhood and harmony.
Advance together with both technology and traditional wisdom.
Let us salute the Tricolor with pride, honour our martyrs, and work to create a just, inclusive, and inspiring India for generations to come.
