Harmonization Workshop for Yoga Examiners

A two day Harmonization Workshop for Examiner for Quality Certification for Yoga professionals with the Indian Yoga Association​ Certification Body was held at Parmarth Niketan (Rishikesh). Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji – Muniji​ and Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati​ji inaugurated the workshop with members of the IYA and QCI as well as many representatives from Yoga Institutes and yoga practitioners across India.

The Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India​ had identified the Quality Council of India (QCI) to develop a Voluntary Scheme for Evaluation and Certification of Yoga Professionals recognising that QCI has expertise in developing such quality frameworks based on international best practices. Over 14000 applicants have been evaluated since the launch and more than 1500 Yoga Instructors and 1250 Yoga Teachers have been successfully certified in collaboration with their approved Personal Certification Bodies.

In order to strengthen the programme and to take forward the vision of our honourable Prime Minister,QCI aims to further strengthen the management of Yoga Scheme. To achieve this, QCI had planned this sensitization cum competency workshop of yoga professionals to upgrade them as examiners which was held at Parmarth Niketan (RIshikesh).

During divine Ganga Aarti, Pujya Swamiji and Sadhvi Bhagawatiji honoured the senior members of the organisation leading this initiative and appreciated the efforts to spread the authentic and holistic teachings of Yoga with the world.

The main objective is to sensitize and build capacities of Yoga Professionals to become Examiners for QCI YP Scheme.
