“Nature is our Mother, and protecting her is our sacred duty!” — Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswati Ji
Today, the All-India Workshop on Environmental Protection, organized by the Environmental Protection Activity (RSS), commenced with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony at Parmarth Niketan, Rishikesh. The event witnessed the esteemed presence of Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswati Ji, All-India Environmental Activity Convenor and environmentalist Shri Gopal Arya Ji, along with educators, volunteers, and eco-enthusiasts from across the country.
Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji – Muniji said, “Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh is doing incredible work in preserving Indian culture, values, and the environment. Protecting the environment is not just a choice—it is our sanskar (value) and our solemn resolution.”
Shri Gopal Arya Ji added, “Sanatan culture taught us centuries ago that air is life, the Earth is our mother, and water is the essence of life. But we’ve treated them as commodities. It’s time to return from consumption to reverence.”
On this occasion, representatives from educational institutions across India pledged to turn environmental protection into a people’s movement.
Let us commit to a plastic-free lifestyle, tree plantation, water conservation, and organic farming to build a greener, more balanced Bharat.
