Ganga Aarti Training Workshop begins at Parmarth Niketan

A confluence of values, culture, and environmental consciousness, the Ganga Awareness & Aarti Training Workshop commenced today at Parmarth Niketan, Rishikesh.

The inauguration took place in the divine presence of Pujya Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati Ji, where the Namami Gange team, Parmarth Niketan family, and 30 priests from 15 ghats across 7 districts lit the sacred lamp to mark the auspicious beginning.

This is the 10th training, jointly organized by Parmarth Niketan, Namami Gange, and Arth Ganga under the Ministry of Jal Shakti.

This is the 10th training, aimed not only at teaching the technique of Aarti, but at making it a powerful medium for Ganga conservation and public awareness.

Over the three-day workshop, priests are being trained in water conservation, aquatic life protection, maintaining water quality, and using Aarti as a platform to inspire society with the right messages.

Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswati Ji’s Message:  “Ganga Aarti is not just a ritual; it is a symbol of faith, social consciousness, and environmental awareness.”

With hawan, Ganga Aarti, satvik bhandara, and pure mantra chanting, the workshop has become a true blend of faith and conservation.

Let us all take a collective pledge — If Ganga is saved, life is saved. Aarti must become a beacon of awareness.
