Mananiya Shri LK Advaniji, Senior BJP Leader, and his family visited their Himalayan home and experienced the serenity of the Mother Ganga at Parmarth Niketan (Rishikesh). During their stay, the Advani family inaugurated the beautiful green memorial Rudraksha garden planted in memory of Late Smt Kamla Advaniji, at the feet of the iconic Lord Shiva murti in Parmarth Niketan’s Yoga Garden with Pujya Swamiji and Sadhvi Bhagawatiji. The ceremony was joined by Pujya Acharya MM Swami Avdheshanand Giriji and other eminent dignitaries.
The family was deeply touched to see that the green sapling they had planted during their visit in April of last year was thriving as a living tribute to Smt Advaniji. The offered their bhavanjali and pushpanjali to the sacred tree and to the sacred feet of Lord Shiva in her memory. They also reminisced how much Smt Kamla Advaniji loved the River Ganga and Parmarth Niketan’s divine Ganga Aarti, and also discussed her deep connection to Parmarth Niketan Ashram, which she visited frequently with her family.
Mananiya Shri LK Advaniji stated, “Smt Kamla Advaniji loved Parmarth Niketan (Rishikesh) so much and it is Pujya Swamiji’s love that has kept us coming here year after year. I am so glad to see that in her spirit and in her memory this Green Rudraksha Dhyan Vatika will be bringing such inspiration for people from all across the world to not only live a healthy and happy life but also to protect and preserve Mother Nature.”

In a written statement Pujya Swamiji shared His concern about global warming and climate change, expressing that in March we were encountering record high temperatures. He stated, “There is a plan A and a plan B but there is only one planet, we must protect, preserve and serve this planet. Today on #BJPSthapanaDivas, let us pledge and commit to lay the foundation of a cleaner and greener Bharat, as was the dream of Pt Deen Dayal Updhyay and BJP’s Founding Fathers. A party for all, leading the way to an India that is truly a green leader.” He added, “Hence, let us always remember to be green and live green.
Let us remember that the key to green planet and a great future make green choices in our everyday lives that will help to abate over exploitation and over extraction of our natural resources, planting trees and ensuring a Swachh Bharat is a simple but profound way to contribute to these efforts.”
Pujya Swamiji also lauded the great commitment that the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modiji had towards a clean and green India and a clean and free-flowing National River Ganga.
Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswatiji shared, “It is so beautiful to have such a green tribute to such an ever green and divine soul. It is also such a beautiful green example of the change that each one can choose to make to not only remember our loved ones but through our memory and through such a green tribute we honour their immortal spirits and help ensure that our love and connection to them can be the foundation to creating our collective, more sustainable future.”
They proceeded thereafter for a special Ganga Aarti Ceremony, during which the entire family participated. Hon’ble Speaker of Uttarakhand Assembly, Shri Prem Chand Aggarwalji also joined for the occasion. There, hundreds of attendees from around the world took part in a massive pledge to encourage greener, cleaner lives, working in new and innovative ways towards a Swachh, Sundar and Swasth Bharat.
