The 34-day Shri Ram Katha at Parmarth Niketan dedicated today to women’s power on the auspicious occasion of Vat Savitri, a sacred festival dedicated to Sanatan culture, family values, and nature
The 34th day of the ongoing Shri Ram Katha at Parmarth Niketan was specially dedicated to Vat Savitri and the divine power of women — the pillars of family, tradition, and the environment.
Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswati Ji shared, “A woman is the foundation of the family, the preserver of culture, and a guardian of nature. Savitri’s devotion and determination to bring back her husband’s life from Lord Yama is a timeless example of a woman’s strength, faith, and sacrifice.”
Vat Tree – A symbol of life, reverence, and sustainability
The veneration of the banyan tree (Vat Vriksha) reflects the deep spiritual and emotional bond between humans and nature. This festival reminds us that without the conservation of nature, human existence is not possible.
Woman – She is both Strength and Culture
Through fasts, festivals, and prayers, women have kept spiritual values and traditions alive for generations. Sacrificing their dreams, they live selflessly for their families, nurturing both values and the environment.
Katha Vyas Sant Murlidhar Ji narrated stories from Shri Ram Katha highlighting the life, strength, patience, and devotion of Mata Sita – a true source of inspiration for women today.
Call for Environmental Action:
Pujya Swami Ji urged all devotees, “Plant, protect, and nurture at least two trees every year. Every family should plant trees equal to the number of its members. India needs 400–500 crore trees. This is not just environmental service – it is true national and spiritual service.”
Vat Savitri is a vow – to preserve our culture, protect our families, and sustain our nature. Women are the divine force that sustains the soul of our society.
