Neeli Chatri Wali Cast and Crew attend Ganga Aarti
Every day Pujya Swamiji inspires and attracts thousands to the banks of Mother Ganga for the divine Ganga Aarti ceremony. The Ganga Aarti at Rishikesh, started over 20 years ago, as one of Pujya Swamiji’s many tenacious and dedicated efforts to preserve and protect the banks of Mother Ganga. This particular effort was also to put an end to open defecation on the holy banks of the sacred river by creating a Ganga Ghat and starting a Ganga Aarti that would inspire and encourage people to sit,bathe, pray and meditate on the holy banks rather than sully it with their waste.
With His divine vision and mission to connect everyone from every walk of life to the service and reverence of the Creation as well as the Creator, today the Ganga Aarti attracts people from every walk of life to join together in divine music and chanting to offer their thanks and gratitude to Mother Ganga and Mother Nature.
Recently popular Indian family comedy series on Zee TV, Neeli Chatri Wale’s cast and crew visited the Parmarth Ashram to shoot one of their upcoming episodes on the banks of Mother Ganga.
During the Ganga Aarti, Pujya Swamiji inspired them to take the Green Pledge and use their Media Shakti to encourage families all across India to keep their sacred water bodies and their communities clean. He shared that as Mahatma Gandhiji said, ‘Cleaniness is next to Godliness.’ He said that we all have to start with our own homes, expands to our communities and extend to our villages, towns, cities and automatically we will see that the whole nation has become clean and green.
Also present during the ceremony were Chairman of BHEL, Shri B Prasada Raoji, with his friends and family. The special Ganga Aarti truly illustrated a beautiful confluence of media and corporate sectors coming together with people from over 20 different countries, some of which included Iraq, America, Tanzania, Brazil, Canada, Russia, England, Africa and so many more, to offer their gratitude for the gifts that Mother Ganga and Mother Nature offer unconditionally to everyone.
