An incredibly rich and full celebration took place at Parmarth Niketan, Rishikesh for Pujya Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswatiji’s 50th Birthday celebrations.

This year her birthday beautifully coincided with Mahashivratri (11th March), the Haridwar Kumbh Mela, the conclusion of our first ever online International Yoga Festival and the Hon’ble Speaker of the Lok Sabha Shri Om Birlaji and his families visit to Parmarth from the 13-14th March. On Shivratri she took part in a beautiful Shiva Abhishek and in the evening more sacred prayers and Rudrabhishek took place. The next morning a beautiful yagna on the iconic Shankar Bhagawan Ghat with her Guru Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji – Muniji and Parmarth family. Thereafter she took a joy filled Ganga Snan with devotees and sevaks bathing in the sacred waters of Maa Ganga.

On the 13th March, on the eve of her birthday the Hon’ble Speaker of Lok Sabha Shri Om Birla ji and his family was warmly welcomed home with a sacred Rudrabhishek and sacred morning Havan on the banks of Maa Ganga. In the evening during the Aarti blessings from saints and loved ones was previewed followed by a LIVE stream webinar with some of her family, friends and loved ones.

They showered their love, affection and appreciation onto her as she in turn offered it all back as “just the grace of Her Guru,” bowing in reverence and devotion to Pujya Swamiji, with tears pouring down her eyes as the webinar turned into a festival of deep love and gratitude for the gift of her life on this planet.

On her birthday a sacred Sunday yagna in the sacred and oldest grooves of the ashram transpired into a moment of mantras, meditation and deep bliss concluding with the Hon’ble Speakers family offering their final ahuti with Pujya Swamiji and Pujya Sadhviji. The Encyclopedia of Hinduism of which she is the Managing Editor and “Come Home to Yourself” was presented to them to take back with them.

Thereafter she visited one of Divine Shakti Foundations largest centres in Rishikesh for its official inauguration of the evening classes and skills training offerings. More details of this beautiful event will be shared tomorrow morning.

Pre-recorded tribute messages with love, gratitude, joy and warm wishes from all across the world was premiered LIVE in the mid-afternoon with her family, friends and loved ones coming together to wish her through the means of technology.

She then was blessed by the presence of Pujya Acharya Bal Krishanji who lovingly graced the occasion to wish her in the sacred Ganga Aarti and then the evening concluded with a beautiful LIVE online interaction with world famous precussionist Sivamaniji and his beautiful wife, the soulful singer Runa Rizvi, her father Rajkumarji and others.

With a launch of a year long campaign #50ActsofCompassion & #SadhviSunday, it was shared that next year we hope to gather together in person to celebrate this most joyous occasion of her 51st Birthday.
