The plantation celebrated the installation of over 9000 saplings in Jal Vidyut Nigam and surrounding areas. under the guidance, association and leadership of Pujya Swamiji. Joining on the occasion were Colonel Amit Bisht and Aman Bisht of Jal Vidyut Nigam.

Pujya Swamiji shared: “At present, the average temperature of the earth is increasing and climate conditions are changing very rapidly. Even in the mountains, winters are getting shorter and summers are getting longer. Due to climate change, the whole world is questioning our future. Whether it’s secure. Whether it’s survivable.

“There are efforts all over the world to find a solution to the serious problems of increasing pollution and climate change, but unless everyone works together, these dreadful problems cannot be solved. Everyone. Every nation needs air and water. And everyone and every nation will have to work together to make sure that we have them.

“Our ecosystem can be protected and made climate friendly by simply reducing the amount of plastic and carbon from our lives. Along with these large-scale tree plantations, we must also select the right species of tree selection of tree species so that the best environmental and developmental outcomes can be achieved.

Calling upon the NIM’s students, Swamiji said that along with the actual plantation, we must set up a monitoring system so that the saplings can be protected and maintained.

Pujya Swamiji concluded by saying that “apart from introducing children to mountains and nature, NIM is making them aware of environmental protection and tree plantation. It is really a wonderful, the work they are doing. Along with adventure in the hills, we must keep traditional environmental protection systems of mountain culture alive and active.”
