LifeSkills Training for Youth

The Global Interfaith WASH Alliance (GIWA) in partnership with UNFPA India hosted a three day workshop for LifeSkills Education at Parmarth Niketan, Rishikesh for community Peer Educators and Parmarth Rishikumars.

Peer educators are active community leaders who make sincere efforts to motivate and inspire their peers to be the change they want to see in their communities. The training is designed to impart the PRAYASAPNA curriculum which empowers youth to identify their dreams, understand their obstacles and develop strategy to strive for their aspirations.

Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji, Co- founder of GIWA inaugurated the training with GIWA’s signature water blessing ceremony and lighting of the lamp ceremony.

“Youth are our future,” shared HH Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji,” and the most important power in any nation is youth power. Youth bring in innovation, creativity and inspire every country to flourish and thrive. With such a large demographic of India being Youth you must all come forward to build a country where every Youth can dream big, work hard and be able to progress in their life on all levels. Youth are not only the next generation but the NOW generation and we hope that the LifeSkills Education will empower and encourage you to be the change you want to see in your community and in your country.”
