Kumbh Mela 2019 in Prayagraj

From January 14th to 24th February, 2019 Parmarth Niketan will be hosting a beautiful camp in the Kumbh Mela at Prayag Raj, Uttar Pradesh at the sacred sangam (confluence) of the Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati rivers.

The Kumbh Mela (the festival of the sacred pitcher) is the largest Hindu fair and/or festival and is truly the celebration of the divine nectar of immortality. It is the time when the alignment of the stars and planets, according to the Hindu calendar, is at its most auspicious for having a divine bath in the sacred waters of the holy rivers and for performing sadhana and meditation. It is the time when the saints, sages, rishis and sadhus come together to share their wisdom, their insight and their blessings with devotees who throng from all across the world. This year the Mela is expecting a record 150 million people!

Come and be part of the divine experience, have a bath in the sacred sangam, bathe in the divine darshan and presence of the revered Saints.

Daily camp programs will include:

  • Daily Morning Universal Prayers
    • Each morning from 5:00 to 6:00 am we will gather for morning universal prayers,
      satsang and kirtan.
  • Discourses & Satsangs
    • Be in the presence of some of India’s greatest saintsin the mela’s rich variety of spiritual
      divine discourses, satsangs, kirtan, and gatherings of India’s great spiritual heritage.
  • Sangam Aarti
    • At sunset we will offer garlands of prayers, mantras and divine kirtan to Mother
      Ganga on the holy banks of the Sangam in the divine presence of holy saints and
  • Sacred Yagna
  • Special Bandharas
