Kailash Kher’s Green Birthday Initiative

HH PUJYA SWAMI CHIDANAND SARASWATIJI JOINS A HOST OF CELEBRITIES AND OFFICIALS IN CELEBRATING KAILASH KHER’S BIRTHDAY.
Pujya Swamiji joined the Honourable Minister of State for Youth Affairs,Government of India Kiren Rijijuji, and a bevy of Bollywood celebrities that included Chairman of the Central Board of Film Certification Prasoon Joshiji and many other eminent personalities to usher-in renowned Sufi Artist Kailash Kherji’s 46th birthday at Mumbai’s at the third-annual Nayii Udaan music festival – and to help reveal details of the singer’s most-ambitious project yet: The Kailash Kher Academy of Learning Arts (KKALA).

According to Kher, “KKALA will be launched online first and it will be functional from this year for sure. I have plans to open the physical academy either in Kolkata or in Rishikesh or in both the places simultaneously. I believe that since I have decided to educate this generation – in both traditional as well as modern forms of music and performing arts – the universe will bless me in my endeavor. I am sure it has planned out everything. We might not be able to foresee those plans, but they are already in motion.”

“At KKALA,” he continued, “the students will not only receive talim (a principle which states that knowledge and work are not separate) in music, but they will also learn how to showcase their talent and let their inner confidence shine. So, besides teaching them music and honing their musical skills, we will also be grooming them, teaching them basic etiquette, developing their personality, communication as well as presentation skills. They will learn how to speak with confidence, how to dress, handle the attention etc. They will also learn about the ways of industry. I come across so many talented musicians who fail to make a mark because they lack the above-mentioned skill-set. These are important in today’s world and lack of these skills cost them when they enter the real world. The students of my academy will not only know how to perform; compose; write and sing, but will know how to face and operate in the real world with confidence, thereby making KKALA unique.”

Pujya Swamiji pointed out that Kher, “Will never stop giving. Like Honorable PM Modi ji, Kailash has a relationship with God that informs his behavior and actions. Because they have struggled so much they see the hardship of others as their own and hence will always work to create solutions and level the playing field. It’s a natural fit and a true blessing that this young man will use his talents and his gifts for the betterment of the children of India and the world.”

“This decision (to open the academy) is a service function,” Pujya Swamiji continued. “It’s charity’s work. And service to humanity is service to God. The talented children of India need a platform to express those talents. This school will give them that platform. I am so proud of what Kailash has become, and what he is doing.”

As one of Pujya Swamiji’s devotees, Kher additionally used the event to promote one of his and his Guru’s most-beloved causes – tree plantations! By distributing Rudraksha plantings to the Nayi Udaan audience, Kher proved that he will, in fact, never stop giving.

“When the almighty has given us so much, what have we done to give it back to the universe? Hence, I have distributed over 1,000 saplings for tree plantation. This is the least I could have done for Mother Nature,” said the beaming singer.

“I am overwhelmed,” Kher concluded. “I feel blessed by the almighty for this is the first time that I have celebrated my birthday in such a unique way – with the announcement of Kailash Kher Kala Academy!”
