On the divine holy day of Ganga Saptami, we celebrated with an incredible livestream of Ganga Aarti and special Meditation and Mantras by HH Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji and Pujya Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswatiji from the banks of Maa Ganga at Parmarth Niketan, Rishikesh as they shared and appealed to us to pledge that once this Lockdown is lifted we will continue to allow our sacred Rivers to flow freely and unpolluted for all.

On the auspicious occasion, Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji expressed His joy to find Maa Ganga in her beautiful aviral and nirmal swaroop (clean and free flowing state), and encouraged us to pledge to keep Mother Ganga and all our sacred Rivers in their original divine, free flowing and unpolluted state.

He said, “Let us also take this time to pray for the health and well-being of all of our world family, for the strength and good health of Hon’ble Modiji, for the fortitude and well-being of our front-line workers and pray that the Covid-19 quickly and swiftly gets defeated as we return back to a new state of health in which our environment and all of Mother Nature can remain healthy and happy.”

Sadhvi Bhagawatiji shared ecstatically while bathing in the waters, “What an amazing, BLESSED day! Today is Ganga Saptami, the day we celebrate our Sacred Mother Ganga coming onto Earth. And on this day, she is dancing. Her waters are clear, clean and bright. She is flowing with amazing strength and speed, nourishing all of us. She continues to flow as always, but at this moment, after more than a month of lockdown, we get to see her beauty as it should be, untainted by pollution. It makes us realize, WE are the problem! When we are locked up, when we can’t shop, consume or produce, Her waters are clean! Let’s make a pledge to protect her radiance and to make whatever sacrifices necessary to keep Her flowing clean and clear even if it means we must produce less, consume less, shop less, and especially waste less!”
