East Meets West

Delegates from Italy, coordinated by Gabriella Lavorgna, visited Parmarth Niketan for a short documentary screening, an Italian book release entitled ‘India in my Heart’ by Vittorio Russo about his journey and love with Indian culture and values. The evening concluded with divine Ganga Aarti and Satsang with Pujya Swamiji and Pujya Sadhviji. The delegation had been invited and welcomed by Shri Manoj Dwivediji, World Tour Travels and the entire Parmarth Family.
Pujya Swamiji said that while the 15th May is when the world celebrates World Family Day, here on the banks of Mother Ganga everyday is a day to celebrate family. He said that Indian values have always taken the world as one family or Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. He welcomed these delegates in their journey from Italy to India to the global Ganga family saying that time had come that we join hands and work together to protect our vasudha or Mother Earth.

Indian culture has always valued the lessons of Nature, as the divine Guru, teaching us the art of selfless giving and thereby filling our relationships with life, not merely filling our life with more and more relationships. He also emphasized the vital need to restore and protect our environment in order to preserve India, for, as He said so beautifully, India is not merely a piece of land but a land of PEACE.
