On March 22nd GIWA celebrated United Nations World Water Day with people from around the world at GIWA’s Southern Secretariat in Rishikesh, India.
Said GIWA Co-Founder Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji, “let every day be World Water Day. Without water, there is no life. We must do all we can to make sure that everyone, everywhere has access to it, as well as to good sanitation and hygiene– for now for future generations.”
“On World Water Day, let us pledge to develop the policies needed to ensure that sustainable water and energy are secured for the many and not just the few”, said United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.
