Sadhvi Bhagawatiji’s Divine Birthday Celebrations

Sadhvi Bhagawatiji’s divine birthday celebrations were filled with beautiful blessings from HH Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji and love from everyone at the Parmarth Niketan Ashram. Countless wishes also poured in from all around the world.

Sevaks at Parmarth Niketan joined together to wish her a green birthday with a beautiful, organic and green birthday salad, fresh from Parmarth Niketan’s organic farm. The salad is a symbol of Sadhvi Bhagawatiji’s strong belief and principle of leading a life that treads lightly on the planet, mindful of reducing our carbon and water footprint, and one that is least violent to our external and internal environment. As she often shares, one of the most fundamental and pivotal ways to do so is by leading a Vegetarian lifestyle, which is also one of the strongest actions one can take to abate and prevent global warming.

Although there was birthday cake, ladoos and sweets, that she shared with her Parmarth family, she only wanted organic grapes as her birthday prasad.

There was a special video highlighting her inspiration and impact on the lives of countless members of the Parmarth Parivar and newly joined sevaks from every part of the world. In Pujya Swamiji’s divine presence, Sadhviji joined members of the Parmarth Niketan family in a sacred water blessing ceremony to reaffirm their commitment to continue serving for improved WASH for all. During the afternoon, there was a special Sundar Kand Path on the Ganga Ghat for which she was blessed by Pujya Swamiji and the respected saints for being such an example of Hanumanji’s spirit, being a true model of dedication, devotion and selfless service for everyone.

During the evening Havan and Ganga Aarti ceremony, Pujya Swamiji shared Sadhviji’s inspiring story with everyone and her journey from Hollywood to the Holy Woods. While sharing her story, Pujya Swamiji said so beautifully, “Even though coming to Rishikesh, India, nearly twenty years ago was not planned for her, even though Rishikesh may have just happened, I truly believe she happened to Rishikesh. She has been truly pivotal in bringing the true, authentic and sacred spirit of Rishikesh to the world and adding this small town to the world map, bringing its touch and transformation to millions.”

She was blessed by a beautiful flower mala and showered with rose pedals amidst Sanskrit recitation of the Happy Birthday song. Thereafter, she led everyone in a divine satsang and was felicitated by all of the Parmarth Rishikumars with more Vedic chanting and flower showers. She distributed birthday sweets to everyone and offered her divine presence and light as the greatest gift to humanity.
