Hanuman Jayanti

Hanuman Jayanti celebrations began with the Hanuman Chalisa (a devotional song that highlights the glories and tales of Sri Hanumanji) lead by Pujya Swamiji and joined by all pilgrims and Parmarth Rishikumars. Later in the evening yagna (fireside ceremony) and Ganga Aarti was also dedicated to Sri Hanuman and His divine spirit of single-minded devotion to Lord Ram.

Sadhvi Bhagawatiji shared that Hanuman Jyanti is a celebration of devotion, a celebration of sacrifice, a celebration of surrender. The day commemorates the life of Sri Hanuman, a divine incarnation who embodies the perfect devotee. The day not meant to have a beginning and ending but rather it is an eternal message that we must take into every minute and every moment of our lives.

Sadhvi Bhagawatiji shared the message and prayer for this special day, explaining stories from Hanumanji’s life and how they can inspire and guide us in our lives and devotional paths: ‘On this day of Hanuman Jayanti, let us strive to be as singleminded in our devotion as Hanumanji. Let us realise, as Hanumanji teaches, that where God is, everything is, and where we are not connected with the Divine, no amount of riches or rubies can bring fulfillment. Let us pray that our hearts and minds may be filled only with the “raas” (divine essence) of God and our Guru. Let us seek to emulate Hanumanji’s boundless faith and devotion. For, when God is with us and within us as much the love of Lord Rama filled every cell of Hanuman’s being, then we too will find that we are showered with all that we need to succeed, thrive and attain divine bliss.’
