On the auspicious occasion of Ganga Dussehra, when it is believed by millions of devotees that Mother Ganga came down to Earth to liberate the souls of King Sagar’s sons, coincided with GIWA’s historic “You Are the Solution Summit of Leaders” concluding ceremony. In honour of the special occasion, the morning began by divine chanting of the Ganga Sahasra Naam, 1008 names to describe the Mother Goddess in all Her glory. With each divine name, one beautiful lotus flower was offered to the Divine River Goddess in Her female form, symbolised by a sacred and beautiful murti. It was inspired and blessed by Pujya Swamiji and performed by 22 rishikanya (female Gurukul students). Hundreds of devotees offered their love and devotion to the Mother Goddess by offering a sacred lotus at Her feet.
