AJC is welcomed by Pujya Swamiji and the US Ambassador to India
A delegation of eighteen AJC leaders arrived home to India on a Interreligious Affairs Mission to India, from November 11-20. Their arrival was welcomed by Pujya Swamiji, under whose vision and guidance, their interfaith harmony programmes had been organised in India. Their programme was shaped and planned many months in advance under the able leadership of Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati, Secretary-General Global Interfaith WASH Alliance, who met and welcomed them later in Varanasi for the incredible Dev Diwali celebrations.
Their first stop upon their arrival to India was a short visit and meeting in Delhi with the Hon’ble US Ambassador to India, Richard Verma who warmly greeted Pujya Swamiji, Rabbi David Rosen and all members of the AJC. They discussed their visit to Varanasi, Rishikesh, and other parts of India and their mission for interfaith harmony, world peace and environmental preservation.
